Worked in pre-production on foundation VR Interaction systems such as hand magnetism, hand animations, grab points, aim-assist, and player/npc synced animations; all made it in game. Got switched onto the Creed Championship engine upgrade.
Summary
Worked on project at two separate points in its history, one on foundational interaction tech right as the game came online, and then rejoining a second time going through production until the project went gold.
Delivered Features
Implemented systems including:
- custom interaction grab points for interactable objects
- world actor synced animation with player + animation pipeline
- hand pose custom editor for VR interactable objects
- custom interaction tech including:
- aim assist system for throwable objects
- hand magnetism
- tablet interaction
- wheel interaction
- pause world system
- early xeno navigation + animation exploration
- various dialogue hooks, systemic dialogue
- narrative team pipeline cleanup, added vo hooks
- extensive bugfixing including:
- fixing crashes in packaged builds
- worked with debugger attached to PS5
